Twilight
September 29th, 2008Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) has always been a bit different, never caring about or fitting in with the trendy girls at her Phoenix, Arizona high school. When her mother Renee (Sarah Clarke) remarries and decides to move with her new husband to Florida, and Bella decides to go live with her father, Charlie (Billy Burke), in the rainy little town of Forks, Washington, she doesn’t expect anything to change. Then she meets the mysterious and dazzlingly beautiful Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), a boy unlike any she’s ever met. Intelligent and witty, his piercing eyes see straight into her soul. Soon, Bella and Edward are swept up in a passionate and decidedly unorthodox romance. Edward can run faster than any cheetah, he can stop a moving car with his bare hands, and he hasn’t aged since 1918. Most importantly, he’s a vampire. Like all vampires, he’s immortal. Yes, he has fangs, but he doesn’t drink human blood (they’re vampire “vegetarians”), which is rare among the vampire population. Instead, they go on regular “hiking” trips, where they feed on prey such as grizzly bears and mountain lions. For Edward, Bella is the thing he has waited ninety years for - a soul mate. But the closer they get, the more Edward must struggle to resist the primal pull of her scent, which could send him into an uncontrollable frenzy. And what will they do when James (Cam Gigandet), Laurent (Edi Gathegi), and Victoria (Rachel Lefevre) come into town and James sets his sights on Bella? Will true love prevail when Edward is forced to save her life and conquer his thirst? The true question is, When you can live forever, what do you live for?

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
September 29th, 2008Voldemort is tightening his grip on both the Muggle and wizarding worlds and Hogwarts is no longer the safe haven it once was. Harry suspects that dangers may even lie within the castle, but Dumbledore is more intent upon preparing him for the final battle that he knows is fast approaching. Together they work to find the key to unlock Voldemort’s defenses and, to this end, Dumbledore recruits his old friend and colleague, the well-connected and unsuspecting bon vivant Professor Horace Slughorn, whom he believes holds crucial information.
Meanwhile, the students are under attack from a very different adversary as teenage hormones rage across the ramparts. Harry finds himself more and more drawn to Ginny, but so is Dean Thomas. And
Lavender Brown has decided that Ron is the one for her, only she hadn’t counted on Romilda Vane’s chocolates! And then there’s Hermione, simpering with jealously but determined not to show her feelings. As romance blossoms, one student remains aloof. He is determined to make his mark, albeit a dark one. Love is in the air, but tragedy lies ahead and Hogwarts may never be the same again.

The Mummy, Tomb of the Dragon Emperor
September 29th, 2008Okay so I admit I saw the movie and in the theater no less.
Yeah, it’s cheesy, crazy, predictable, and has some flaws… but it is also a really, really fun movie. As far as where it stands with the other two, I’d say it’s better than the second and just about on par with the first.
Considering all the reviews and all things involved, I still enjoyed this movie.
Although I still dont know why it was called Tomb of the Dragon Emperor when I didnt hear that name mentioned in the film anywhere. ehhehe

The Iron Man
September 28th, 2008I LOVED this movie!
Robert Downey Jr was perfect for this role. Great Action packed flick worth seeing. In fact I saw it twice. The entire cast was great and I really enjoyed watching from beginning to end. I will be adding this to my movie collection!

The Incredible Hulk
September 28th, 2008I enjoyed this better than the first but then again.. Edward Norton is fantastic and I really enjoyed Tim Roth as well. Great action scenes.

The Dark Knight
September 28th, 2008This was a great movie. Heath Ledger did a fantastic job as The Joker and definitely made the movie. It was much better than the reviews I had seen. I’d totally go see it again.

Carter, one of the greatest lyricist of all time came up right before he made a name for himself not only in the Streets, but also in the rap game. With the informative videos and nice story lines to go with the videos, Streets is Watching is a great way of understanding what the jiggaman went through on his way to the top.
Director Abdul Malik Abbott (State Property), did an excellent job in capturing not only the situations Jay-Z had gone through but the different scenes and views of Brooklyn were great.
