Okay so I admit I saw the movie and in the theater no less.
Yeah, it’s cheesy, crazy, predictable, and has some flaws… but it is also a really, really fun movie. As far as where it stands with the other two, I’d say it’s better than the second and just about on par with the first.
Considering all the reviews and all things involved, I still enjoyed this movie.
Although I still dont know why it was called Tomb of the Dragon Emperor when I didnt hear that name mentioned in the film anywhere. ehhehe

I LOVED this movie!
Robert Downey Jr was perfect for this role. Great Action packed flick worth seeing. In fact I saw it twice. The entire cast was great and I really enjoyed watching from beginning to end. I will be adding this to my movie collection!

There’s no other way to say it. I loved this Movie! If you don’t like singing and dancing or musicals in general, maybe you won’t agree. But seriously you might want to give this one a chance, it’s an excellent production. I have never seen the stage version so I have nothing to compare it to, but the music and choreography in the movie are superb. The story takes place in (obviously) Chicago during the roaring twenties in the times of flapper dresses and Tommy guns. The story is about a woman named Roxy (Renee Zellweger) who is living a boring uneventful life and married to a ploddingly simple and easily manipulated husband. Her dream is to be a singing and dancing stage star but the path she takes to get there is through the murder of her lover. She is jailed and if she is found guilty will be hanged for her crime. Also in jail with her is another murderess played by Catherine Zeta-Jones. Their lawyer is a slick talking carnival showman played by Richard Gere. The movie is a very cynical look at tabloid sensationalism and the effects of publicity on the legal system. All three main characters do their own singing and dancing and they all do a very good job. Also unforgettable in her role as the prison matron is Queen Latifah, who despite the all star cast, steals every scene that she is in. I highly recommend this movie as it is slick and entertaining. You’ll definitely want this for your video library, don’t just rent it, trust me you’ll want to see this one again and again.

While I think that everyone would agree that this is an excellent movie, I think we can also agree that it is not an easy, sit back and relax type of movie. It is extremely intense beginning about three minutes into the movie when you follow Captain John Miller (Tom Hanks) and his men who are landing on Omaha Beach. Steven Spielberg pulled no punches when filming this scene and any thoughts you may have about the nobility of war are quickly dispelled. What you see is a scene of horror filled with young terrified men, who know they may well be facing their last minutes of life. They’re not thinking about winning, or the honor of their country, or taking out the enemy, their thinking about how they will survive. The Omaha Beach scene, which is very long, is stressful to watch and its realism leaves you shaken. But as there is no rest for the weary so this is true for Miller, his men and us, the watchers. They are assigned a special mission to find and save Private Ryan, the last remaining son of four brothers sent overseas. Captain Miller and his men question the logic and sanity of risking the lives of so many men to save the life of one. If you have not seen this movie, I will not give away the ending which is, like the rest of the movie a little too realistic for comfort. Sorry, no fairy tale endings here. No matter how disturbing this movie is, it is well worth the emotional effort it requires to watch it, as it is a superbly told story, with amazing effects and top quality performances by Tom Hanks, Tom Sizemore, Edward Burns and the rest of the cast. I highly recommend this as a must see movie.

If you’re looking for an epic science fiction movie, this will definitely not fit the bill. However, Zathura is a genuinely enjoyable movie with an interesting plot. It’s a good family film (don’t know the official rating) as there is no sex, no swearing, no blood and is not too scary for kids. It’s a true SciFi and adventure movie about two brothers, who take a fantastic and unexpected journey when playing a board game called Zathura. If you’re thinking that this is the same as Jumangi, it’s really not. I actually enjoyed this movie much more, the only similarities between the two is that both adventures are centered on a discovered board game. Zathura takes our two quarrelling brothers and their house into space. As they play through the game, trying to get back home, they meet a hero astronaut and carnivorous monsters that want to eat them for dinner. As they draw each card in the game, whatever the card says comes to pass and they must deal with the results. The adventure itself, although somewhat simplistic, is fun and imaginative. The story about the brother’s difficult relationship with each other and how they learn to trust and appreciate one another is the true point of the movie, as you will see in the surprise revelation in the last few scenes. There are also some very funny moments dealing with the two brothers older sister who is in the house during this adventure, but is unfortunately frozen solid through about the first two thirds of the movie. I did not expect the surprise revelation and I always appreciate being surprised when watching a movie. Maybe you’ll see what’s coming before I did. Either way, curl up with the family, grab the popcorn and enjoy Zathura, I did.

Synopsis: Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), successful author and everyone’s favorite fashion icon-next-door, is back, her famously sardonic wit intact and sharper than ever, as she continues to narrate her own story about sex, love and the fashion- obsessed single woman in New York City. Sex and the City finds Carrie, Samantha (Kim Cattrall), Charlotte (Kristin Davis), and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) four years after the hit HBO series ended, as our favorite friends continue to juggle jobs and relationships while navigating motherhood, marriage and Manhattan real estate.
